Room Riomaggiore receives its name from the first of the fishing villages of the Cinque Terre, located in the valley of the Rio Maggiore, formerly called Rivus Major from which it takes its name. The village is composed of several parallel rows of houses according to the old model Genoese tower, following the unfolding of the watercourse.
